Bioprinting physiologically-relevant tissues

Welcome to the Biofabrication lab at the University of Galway. Our lab focuses on utilizing novel bioprinting strategies to enhance the physiological structure and function of engineered tissues. By emulating developmental processes, we aim to create stem cell-derived human tissues that mimic their native counterparts. These advances will enhance the physiological relevance of lab-made human tissues, accelerating their translation into predictive platforms for drug screening and as transplantable grafts for tissue repair.
