Our aiPRINT project in collaboration with Dr Karl Mason’s group has succesfully made it through to the grow phase of the SFI Future Digital Challenge. This 500k award will expand our efforts to develop closed-loop 3d bioprinting technology.

Dr Daniel Kelly joins the lab as part of aiPRINT project funded by the Science Foundation Ireland Future Digital Challenge. Daniels project will focus on developing closed-loop 3D printing technology using AI and computer vision

The Lifesaver project kicks off. As part of the European-wide research consortium, our team will focus on designing and manufacturing an organ-on-a-chip platform that mimics key components of placental tissue for emulation of typical prenatal conditions.

Sogol Kianersi joins the lab. Sogol will work on developing heart-on-a-chip models using conductive biomaterials. Sogol’s project is in collaboration with Prof Abhay Pandit and Prof Ger O’Connor.

Ankita Pramanick joins the lab on a College of Science and Engineering Postgraduate Research Scholarship. Ankita will work on bioprinting cardiac microtissues with biomimetic cell organisations. The project is in collaboration with Prof Abhay Pandit’s lab.
